Opposition Slams Madhya Pradesh Government Over ‘Evasion’ on Development Record

Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari has accused the Mohan government of avoiding key questions on the state’s development and hiding its failures. He called for greater transparency and accountability, saying the government has failed to present a clear and honest picture of governance.

Bhopal: Fresh political friction has emerged in Madhya Pradesh after the state Congress president, Jitu Patwari, accused the Mohan government of failing to give clear answers on key development-related issues and attempting to conceal its shortcomings from the public.

Addressing the media in Bhopal, Patwari alleged that the state administration has consistently avoided substantive questions concerning Madhya Pradesh’s development trajectory. He said it was unfortunate that instead of engaging with these concerns transparently, the government appeared to be deflecting scrutiny to mask what he described as administrative failures.

The Congress leader argued that a government unwilling to face public accountability cannot present an honest picture of development. According to him, the lack of direct responses on crucial matters has raised serious doubts about governance and the effectiveness of policy implementation in the state.

Patwari further demanded that the Mohan government place a clear and transparent account of its development claims before the people of Madhya Pradesh. He stressed that accountability and openness were essential for democratic governance and urged the administration to address public concerns directly rather than sidestepping them.
